Current BMA Global Missions Work in Ghana

By Moses N. Adjekwei, ChangeMaker in Ghana

The world we are living in today and what we are witnessing shows that our Savior and Lord is coming soon.

BMA of Africa in Ghana is making sure that the message of the cross, which is the hope for the lost and dead world, is preached, as it is the will of our Savior that no one should perish but all should come to the saving knowledge of the cross.

As a missionary oriented with the present administration of the work in Ghana, Africa, we have fully engaged in evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, church planting, and humanitarian aid, the focus is more on the next generation.

We are working on a program called Vision 2030, and by then we should be able to reach all the sixteen regions in Ghana, where we would raise missionary church planters and plant mother churches as the hub to reach the unsaved. It is our goal that the attendance of all these sixteen mother churches should not be less than 200. The mother churches would also focus on raising leaders towards the goal due to diverse doctrines, emotionalism, and charismatism, which hinders the work here. As a current missions director, I am leading in restructuring the work here by putting leadership in place to handle this situation and reach more souls for the kingdom.

Pastor Enock Adusei oversees the Bible school and has been encouraged to make sure sound doctrine of the Bible is taught. He is also a current missionary church planter for one of the sixteen regions, leading the planting of churches in the region. Currently we have five leaders spearheading the planting of mother churches in the sixteen regions. These people are Pastor Adusei in the Ashanti region, Pastor Moses Angmortey in greater Accra region, Pastor Ebenezer Bani in the eastern region, Pastor Godson Dedjoe in the Volta region, and Pastor Clement Abugre in the upper east region and Burkina Faso.

As the head pastor of New Generation Missionary Baptist Church of BMA Ghana, Accra-Spintex, we have led the planting of two new mother churches, one in the eastern region (Sampson-Panpaso) and Volta region (ho-Akorme). Hopefully by next year I will be transferring to pastor the church at Dodowa in greater the Accra region, and I plan on making it the hub of the mission work in greater Accra.

I am supervising all these and making sure that souls are won, churches are being planted, and sound doctrine is being taught, as well as coupling all these with the missions work coordination in Africa focusing on these West African countries, namely Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, and Liberia.

Whenever a foreign missionary visits, I do travel with them to visit the churches, evangelize, teach leadership training sessions, encourage the leaders, and seek the possibility of planting more churches. It is our goal to reach the continent of Africa with the message of the cross with sound doctrine being maintained.

In the humanitarian and evangelism field, I coordinate the work of EIM and Water for Christ. EIM is reaching souls through evangelism and the shepherd’s bag ministry by traveling to the remote villages and schools, preaching the gospel and handing out the bags to school kids. Water for Christ plays a part by drilling wells in these villages where clean water is needed.

Both EIM and Water for Christ are helping the work reach more places and people while raising leaders and planting churches. We all, with your prayers, are hoping that God would open more doors for our goal and vision to be achieved for his glory. Pray for God’s protection in areas where the challenges are so great, particularly where idolatry, Islam, charismatism and emotionalism are the norm.
