2023 Legacy Missionaries Jack and LaTrell Bateman

“The influence of these two lives for God will live on. Their work in far-off Formosa (Taiwan) will never be finished. Not only did they give their hearts to the cause of foreign missions, but they gave their very lives on the field itself.They have been the means for reaching the lost for Christ. Only time will tell and eternity will reveal how many people are saved as a result of their witnessing.”

Pioneering the Work and Raising Up Leaders

The churches and missions of Central America and the Caribbean face unique challenges as they labor to be effective in their evangelistic efforts, church planting, and discipleship of new believers. The region is known for its extreme weather, repressive governments and  poverty level. BMA Global has had a missions presence in this area for an entire generation, but in almost every country, American missionaries have handed off leadership responsibilities to national pastors and leaders.

2023 Legacy Missionaries: Bobby and Ruth Bowman

Brother Bobby Bowman went into the Navy on December 17, 1954, at the age of 19. The draft was still in effect in America, but Bowman enlisted voluntarily, with the plan to eventually have a career in medicine. Serving in the medical corps was the best way to receive that medical training.
