Challenges and Victories in El Salvador
May 22, 2021Cross Cultural Considerations For Missionaries-Part One
June 11, 2021“We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellow helpers to the truth.” (3 John 8)
Baptist Missionary Association (BMA) Orlando Arabic Language Ministry began three years ago in a Bible study at my home. After talking with Pastors Larry Barker and Ashraf Sarah, God opened doors for my wife and me to start visiting a family from Jordan. They began attending our home Bible study, which soon grew to twelve people then a few more after we moved to a small chapel at First Baptist Church Orlando.
Since they were without a pastor, we began hosting a Sunday evening service at the church and currently have fifteen to twenty people in attendance, sometimes more. New people come every week, and we are currently praying about starting a mid-week service for those who can’t attend on Sundays.
My wife and I continue to visit other Arabic families, sharing the gospel with them and praying with them in their homes. We need your prayers. During the pandemic, we created a church group on WhatsApp and recorded messages or short videos to share with our contacts. We continue to pray for the future of this church.
Please keep us in your prayers. We have several plans for the church including special services and dinners to encourage new people to come. Arabic people in Orlando live at many different locations, and we try to serve them as best as we can. Thank you to our BMA family for your prayers and all you do to support us.
God bless you!
